INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS

  • Co-hosted and supported DANCE BRIDGES FESTIVAL 2015 – An International contemporary dance festival where dance companies and artists from Taiwan, USA, UK, France, Sweden, Austria were invited for the 5 day festival which had film screenings, conferences, performances and workshops. The festival was organized by World Dance Alliance- Kolkata Chapter.
  • CELEBRATING THE CONNECTION 2016, project facilitating cultural understanding and collaboration with artists between USA and INDIA, a professional artist exchange program in collaboration with Cultural Vistas and American Consulate New Delhi, inviting artists – Flow, Fatimah, Neel, Giddy, Ansley and Sherry and hosting them in India with performances, school tours, workshops in four cities in India.
  • KOLKATA INTERNATIONAL DANCE FILM FESTIVAL in collaboration with Alliance de Française with showcase six international dance movies in French, German, English, Russian in 2013. Kolkata’s 2nd International Dance Film Festival – 28th to 30th August in collaboration with The Doodle Room, Max Mueller Bhawan.
  • A collaborative short film and photography project with Katja Loher (renowned Visual Artist from Switzerland), and Jhon Jairo (Colombia) based on Kaleidoscopic visuals related to the 5 elements in nature synced with dance choreography and movements. This project was a part of Katja’s work towards an exhibition that commemorated the 70th anniversary of the Swiss-India friendship showcased in New Delhi. Supported by Swiss Council, Basu Foundation & Sparsh Studio.
  • Co-hosted and supported Dance Bridges 2019 – Performed, participated in workshops and residency by teachers from Argentina, Spain, USA, France, Australia, Hong Kong and many more.
  • DANCE-TALKS – An online series of knowledge forum and interaction podcast with eminent personalities from across the world. Some of the participants were Astad Debo(New Delhi), Dante Puleio (6th Artistic Director of the Limón Dance Company, New York), Ilyas Odman (A renowned choreographer from Istanbul), Raymond Esterhuizen (Senior faculty, Netherland Dance Theatre), Viraj Ingole (Sports Health & Nutrition Councelling), Sunil Kothari Dance scholar and critic), Anita Ratnam (Chennai), Nathaniel Parchment (London) and many more.
  • Representation from India in virtual World conference at International Council of Dance, Paris on 5 March 2021. Discussion topic – “Dance & Spirituality. A speech presented by our artistic director in the presence of world’s renowned dancers, teachers and artists.
  • Indian Ambassador to International Dance Talent Competition Italy in 2021 – This talent hunt gave opportunity to Indian dancers to compete at an international platform where the competition was judged by artistic directors, choreographers, professors and educators of dance from Hungarian Dance Academy, A=Croatian National Theatre, Korea Ballet Foundation, Copenhagen Contemporary dance school, Cairo Opera Ballet Company, and many others. The event was organized by Bell Art Cultural Association, Italy and took place in Mesagne, Italy.
  • Co-hosted and supported Dance Bridges 2022 – A virtual version of the festival that connected Taiwan, London and India through showcasing unique dance films, dance performances, virtual dance residencies and dance Jam.
  • Represented India in a online world conference hosted by Council of Dance (Paris) on topic – “Dance & spirituality” in 2023.

NATIONAL PROJECTS

  • Co-hosted and supported INDIA’S ONLY INTERNATIONAL CONTEMPORARY DANCE FILM FESTIVAL in 2017 – Dance Bridges Festival presented Performances, Seminars, Workshops and residency by teachers from Lithuania, Taiwan, Japan, France, Mexico, Spain, Scotland and many more. The program director being Vanessa Mirza.
  • Co-hosted and supported Ballet Festival of India 2022 – Production director Ashifa Sarkar Vasi (Mumbai) brought four internationally-renowned professional dancers, German-Senegalese dancer Adji Cissoko from Alonzo King LINES Ballet, American dancer Akua Noni Parker formerly of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Brazilian dancer Nayara Lopes from the Philadelphia Ballet and British dancer Sarah Surinder Kundi from the English National Ballet as the faculty. The festival had workshops, presentations and lectures for all levels of competence.

LOCAL PROJECTS

  • Lectures and discussions on Dance Theory, Techniques in Contemporary dance, Dance History, Aspects of a choreography and more by artists from the city and guest teachers from around the country.
  • Hosted First Online Dance Quiz in May 2014 in association with Dancelife and funtrivia.com.
  • Participation in 1st India Hobby Exhibition Fair (an initiative by Rubikon) in 2014
  • Dance Partner with Gold’s Gym & GoAktive.com for fitness campaign across Kolkata in August, 2016.
  • Dance Boot camp April 2017, celebrating World Dance Week bringing various compilation of dance forms focusing on choreography and performance abilities in collaboration with BNB Fitness and fitmantra.
  • Choreography “HOPE’ for Calcutta School of deaf and Dumb on the occasion of 50th death anniversary of Helen Keller in collaboration with Alliance française du Bengale.
  • Dance Production Choreography in schools and colleges. Few among them are Shakuntala (St. Xaviers), Five Elements (St. Xaviers), Women Power (Modern High School), Dance of the Gods (Birla High School), The City Life (Birla High School), SWAY (Bhawanipur Gujarati College), HOPE (ILEAD COllege, CADENCIA (Calcutta Medical College), Abhinav Bharati School, etc…
  • Judges for college and school fests including Zavotsav, IIT Kharagpur, IIM fest, Medical college cultural fest Rhapsody, Sponsorship to Dance Dictators Competition, Xavotsav 2012, Honhar Kalakar (Palki Events) 2014, Laxmipat Singhania School competition, Odyssey (Birla High School), Modern High School,
  • “CITIFIED”a project exploring architecture of Kolkata and outdoor dance performances in 2018 with a series of five performances at various locations in the city including Victoria Memorial, Rabindra Sadan, Indian Museum, Marble Palace and Dakshinapan market.
  • Supported the event “Pehchaan”, organised by National Academy of Media and Events for training of under-privileged children and teenagers in dance in the year 2018 and 2019.
  • “Dancer’s Photowalk” – an outdoor photoshoot tour with Albert Moreno (USA) and some local photographers in the streets of Kolkata exploring ways to use spaces and bodies in outdoor environment.
  • Long term Collaborate with non-profitable organization – “ARTS CONNECT” that unites local, national and international artists towards a common objective of intensifying the appreciation, understanding and performances of contemporary arts that includes music, dance, theatre, painting, recitation and various art forms in small villages, towns and sub-urban areas of West Bengal. This organisation also helps revive and promote old traditional lost art forms and support the artists by spreading awareness and reducing the bridge between artist and audiences. This included series of performances at Balurghat, Sunderbans, and others.
  • Concept Brand Promotion photoshoot with a renowned fashion brand women’s bridal wear brand – WNW incorporating dance movements.
  • Supported the Atrai Festival in association with ArtsConnect at Balurghat in 2022 – The project is in conversation of the water of the Atrai river which has been the life line of a small town Balurghat in West Bengal. Awareness programs through various performances in dance, drama, poetry and music in the festival had contributed in collecting donations for cleaning of the river banks.
  • Corporate Show curated the Performances for Daiken at ITC Royal Bengal, PS Group at J W Marriot.
  • Fitness and Dance workshops at corporate companies like Cognizant Technology, WIPRO and Pinnacle Infotech Solutions.
  • Dance Workshop at in collaboration with Sunny Side up Productions and FST (Mumbai) Eldrok India K-12 Summit 2024 at Taj City Center, New Town.
